Celebrating Halloween? Let's Rethink of 5 Ways to have a Spooktacular Holiday!

It's the month of October... And yes as much as it means going back to school, it also means it's the month of the much anticipated holiday Halloween! :-)

I know you folks are excited but before you start your preparations, I've got 5 ways you can rethink your planning and make this season one that's BoOoOOooO-tiful to our environment!

1. For your Halloween costumes
Before you go out and buy a Halloween costume, think about your other options because contributing to mass production is not cool. Look at your closet to see if there's anything that can potentially turn into a costume and if you need extra materials look around your households and recycling bins.

If you do still think you need to purchase a costume buy second-hand, search through the thrift shops or look for pre-used costumes on the internet!

And then, you'll be all decked out for your Halloween bash!

2. For anyone throwing a Halloween House Party
Party people this one's for you. To have the ultimate monster of a party, you can send invites online instead of printing them out to help the trees.

And to decorate your place check out Pinterest for some cool eco-friendly ideas. :-)

3. For the homebodies
Yes, to the fellas that would love to leave your bodies to rot. A good way to enjoy this Hallow's eve is to invite a bunch of your other BOOyssss and their Ghoulfriends for a session of Netflix and watch something horrifying or even wickedly hilarious.

By doing so you're cutting energy consumption and greenhouse emissions too, as all of you are collectively watching these spine-tingling films and shows together. How unDEVILeable!

4. For your concoctions
Yes we know it's not all about the tricks - there's treats too. So why not, make the most of what you have your kitchen, and plate them up.

Or the alternative, if you're unsure of what you can do look up recipes that are eco-friendly and related to Halloween or makes use of what you have!

5. For the fitness freaks
Unleash your zombie mode and walk on the limb-ridden tracks on the streets of Sydney city. Not only do you get your blood pumping but you are also able to raise awareness for Australia's Brain Foundation at the official Sydney Zombie Walk, which happens annually!

You can even donate funds to help out the foundation too at this free-for-all event. :-)
* This year, it's happening in November but it's all still going on in the name of the Halloween Spirit!

Well, I hope this helps you in your preparations this spooktacular holiday, so scream and shout and let all your friends know that there's definitely some eco-friendly ways to celebrate this festive occasion!
